I give you an example: I can reach the 1866MHz for the DRAM in two possible ways using several UEFI BIOS settings: (i) CPU bus speed : DRAM ratio = 100:133 spaced at 100MHz and 133MHz intervals all the way to the functional DDR4-4133 ratio For normal use, this setting can be left on Auto, as it will choose the best ratio according to the user-selected DRAM Frequency.
Asus ROG MAXIMUS XI HERO (WIFI) [24/80] Bclk frequency dram frequency. Does BCLK:DRAM frequency ratio matter for stability? I'm working on a 4,000 MHz profile and can use a 100:100 or a 100:133 ratio for this frequency 2.5.4 BCLK Frequency: DRAM Frequency Ratio [Auto] Allows you to set the CPU bus speed to DRAM speed ratio mode.
DRAM frequency is 1/2 of what's expected with compatible RAM r/framework. So I guess I cannot BCLK OC on my mobo or am I missing something :/ its a B85M-E, it does have options for 'k' chip overclocking though. I am wondering whether the ratio between the FSB and the DRAM matters regarding speed
